The last 7 episodes of the first series of the popular drama based on the books by vet James Herriot. James (Christopher Timothy) arrives in rural Darrowby to begin veterinary practice. His employer is the demanding Siegfried Farnon (Robert Hardy), and in addition to mastering the local dialect, James faces a healthy dose of Yorkshire scepticism from his new clients.
