Here’s the bands they left behind – Gerry and the Pacemakers Rory Storm and the Hurricanes Faron’s Flamingoes Earl Preston and the T.T.’s The Chants Chick Graham and the Coasters The Spinners Jacqueline McDonald Birdie O’Donnell Billy Kietly and Paul Cunningham – all in the original Liverpool venues. The film caused a sensation when first released as it explained how the sound that at the time surpassed even that of Motown all came about.
