Perhaps it was the flambouyance of a team that included Frank ‘Elvis’ Worthington or the undoubted skill of Lenny Glover; the boundless enthusiasm of Alan Birchenall or the sublime talents of Keith Weller? Jimmy Bloomfied assembled a side that simply entertained – in a decade that began with the sublime talent of Peter Shilton keeper the opposition at bay and ended with the emergence of a supreme strikeforce of Gary Lineker and Alan Smith under that canny Scot Jock Wallace.
