Dark sequel in the tale of Tarzan, directed by David Yates. Tarzan, now John Clayton III, Lord of Greystoke (Alexander Skarsgård) left his life in the jungle behind many years ago. Living with his wife Jane (Margot Robbie) in London, Tarzan seems to have assimilated into a content Western lifestyle. When he is asked to return to the Congo by Parliament to investigate a criminal mining venture deep in the jungle with Belgian Captain Rom (Christoph Waltz), all may not be as it seems.

It has been years since the man once known as Tarzan (SkarsgÃ¥rd) left the jungles of Africa behind for a gentrified life as John Clayton, Lord Greystoke, with his beloved wife, Jane (Robbie) at his side. Now, he has been invited back to the Congo to serve as a trade emissary of Parliament, unaware that he is a pawn in a deadly convergence of greed and revenge, masterminded by the Belgian, Leon Rom (Waltz). But those behind the murderous plot have no idea what they are about to unleash.
