For three weeks in August each year the Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle is the venue for the world-famous EDINBURGH MILITARY TATTOO a colourful kaleidoscope of music dance and pageantry attracting some 217 000 spectators annually and an estimated 100 million international television viewers.This 90-minute film contains the very best moments from the 54th Tattoo including the dazzling sights and sounds of the Massed Pipes & Drums and the inspirational music of the massed Military Bands.Contributions also featured range from the tropical sounds of The Band of The Bermuda Regiment and Gombey Dancers to a dynamic drum display from Switzerland’s Top Secret Drum Corps.The programme captures many other accomplished performances from amongst others The Royal Army of Oman Band Pipes & Drums and Folklore Arts Troupe breathtaking rifle routines from The United States Army Drill Team The Traditional Band of the Army of the Republic of Korea a 100-strong Massed Highland Dance Display and The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery with their renowned Musical Drive.Exclusive extras include a behind-the-scenes featurette and video news release that reveal some of the stories behind the 2003 production plus interviews with cast members and the Tattoo’s producer.
